Child Safety

Alternatives for traditional cord and chains for child safety include Automation and Cordless lift. We are also able to retrofit your existing shades.

Automation

With automated blinds and shades, a motor is placed inside the window covering mechanism eliminating the need for chains or cords. Automated shades are compatible with the majority of your home automation and smart devices. The motors can receive power through many different sources such as battery pack (replaceable or rechargeable), DC low voltage power or AC 120V power, as well as solar panels. You can control your automated shades through a variety of options including a handheld remote, wall switch, heat sensors, timers, and mobile apps.

Cordless Lift

Cordless lift allows you to lift your shades by hand at the bottom of your blind or shade. With a cordless lift system, a spring is placed inside the window covering mechanism which enables you to lower and raise your window covering with your hand, eliminating the need for chains or cords.

Retro-Fit

As an alternative option, we can also retrofit any existing shades with our child anti-strangulation device product. Composed of a wand crank to easily operate your blinds. This device is designed to be aesthetically appealing with an ultra slim profile.
